Stopped in to Philter for a quick coffee and place to work while in the area. I got the iced autumn latte, which was very tasty. Balanced, a little nutty and not overly sweet. The interior was cozy with lots of plants. I do want to note that there was a lot of built up dirt/grime in the bathroom, which was a bit off putting.
Boyfriend got an espresso pull that was too acidic to drink. The girls there were also slow to get me my food (it was ready in the back, they just forgot about it). After about 20 minutes my bf kindly went up to them to ask about it, one girl gave him a sympathetic look and asked if I was “getting hangry”. I was literally nothing but nice to them, so we were both confused. I left feeling bad and regretting my choice to go there.
Great place. Go to coffee shop along with another in Kennett Square. Friendly staff and coffee is good!
