Shady business practices. Don’t pay cash. If you have an issue with product or service they wont give a refund. I have been waiting 3 years.
These guys were very recommended by couple of my friends from the law enforcement. I needed to locate my teenage son who ran away and had issues previously, he had no car, no credit cards, just his phone, it took them some time, but eventually they were able to locate him for me through his phone number, just in time, this is unbelievable, I didn't even know it was possible until now! Bought 12 cameras for my Japanese restaurant from them, these guys did wonderful job, that's the reason I'm writing this review since I promised them that if they do good job, i will leave good review, so they did, Antony was very professional installer and made sure that I get it the way I wanted and no wires are hanging, very clean. The sale guy Ale gave me very good deal, since I almost got ripped off by the other place down town, they tried to charge me twice as much as these guys did at philly spy shop, very good people... read more
Got special Cell Phone service from these guys, had some personal issues in my family, with my ex-wife now, spent a few thousands on private investigators, but had bad results. My friend told me about this place, all though it costed me over thousand bucks it was still cheaper than I've spent on PI. Didn't even believe it was possible, until I got the info and proof I needed to catch her. Alex was helping me out, did a very good job, even though it took some extra time, but I still got what I needed.
I've been looking around for some nice 1080p cameras for my house. Found a whole 4 channel system at this shop for under 500. Guy name Anthony installed them for me. Couldn't be happier since these systems usually cost over 550.
This place is a sham. Paid over $400 for items with cash, came back 3 hours later to return the UNOPENED items, and was told that they don't give refunds, then he points to a 6 inch square, small font, printed sign across the room that is hidden among a dozen other signs, and says "read the sign". Then he offers me store credit instead, but nothing has prices on it, so everything I asked how much it was, magically cost almost exactly what he offered me in store credit. I spent over $1500 for outside camera's from this store and they provided absolutely no instructions as to how to operate them. I called many times requesting the operator's booklet but they continue ignoring my calls. In addition, while installing the camera's, the installer drilled a hole in a drain pipe at the rear of my home. So far they have not returned any of my calls or texts pertaining to these issues. Stay clear of these people!
Just upgraded our old cameras to the new HD ones at philly spy shop. HD cameras are awesome, I can see whole block with just one camera. Considering I payed under $100 for it, it's a bargain.
This place is a scam. After someone totaled my motorcycle in front of my house, I went to Philly Spy to get a security camera. They sold me a 4 channel LTS DVR for $150, which a brand new one online doesn't cost more than $100. Then I bought a used zmoda security camera, without a box or instructions for $150. They told me was top of the line gear. This camera model, brand new, costs $28 online. I spent $300 for something that should have cost me at most, $130.
