Dr Suh focuses on prevention and wellness. I have diabetes the last 20 yeats and under his care, I am well controlled. My A1C is 5.9 and my bmi is 21. This allows me to stay active and fit. His aggressive approach to prevention in treatment is for your benefit, because he cares. If u want to make excuses, please find another provider. Dr. Suh and his staff are professional, attentive, and offer the highest standards of care; Dr. Suh listened to all of my concerns. I was very satisfied with the answers to my questions, all of which were clear, and understandable... he explained my treatment with helpful images and diagrams, using the latest technology, and up-to-date medical information. Impressive! My wife and I needed to find a PCM on Oahu, due to the current Covid crisis, and were relieved and elated to find Dr. Suh. Dr. Suh's office and staff were friendly and helpful, and saw the doctor in a timely manner. Dr. Suh was the answer to our prayers. He was personable, and professional, discussed all of our concerns, and took a lot of time to explain our treatment in great detail, answering all of our questions. I can't recommend Dr. Suh and his team more highly.
Dr Philip Suh said eating only lettuce permanently is healthy. He is horrible at listening to his patients or taking into consideration their concerns. He wasn’t thorough or took time to get any background information. When I tried to share the history his answer was I don’t need to know it - you either do it my way or I am not your doctor. This is one of those offices that is about money and how quickly they can churn through appointments.
It's hard to find a place to be listened to about truly bad experiences with health care, but I feel businesses like this need to be exposed. Seeing a doctor is about care and wellness; this office offers the opposite. I was recommended to see Dr. Suh through HMSA after arriving in Hawaii and being in need of a personal physician.
