I have a shoulder injury and had seen him but was still in pain. So I left a message on the Friday of the Memorial Day Weekend. I did not expect to hear from from him before the holiday was over and probably by an NP or one of his assistants.I was surprised he personally called me and got me in on the morning of the day the office opened. Reassessed and took care of my shoulder pain. Now days that kind of attention and service only comes from concierge doctors.
Excellent surgeon. Did 2 knee replacements and I couldn't have had a better doctor. His PA Coutney is great too. Took time to explain everything and gave me time to make a decision. No pressure. Knee replacements done 4 years apart. He inspired trust.
I wrote the review above that stressed the doctor’s sparse and rushed communication with me. Since then I developed a painful complication that Dr. Bobrow handled beautifully, with patience care and attention. I was greatly relieved and I wondered if earlier he had been more stressed and rushed than usual because of the Covid situation. In any case, I was happy to see the side others have praised and feel obliged to revise my rating from 3 to 4.
He is apparently an excellent surgeon and is timely but he is a poor communicator who does not take the time to read one’s chart before a meeting or call. I had a hip replacement (great!) with a few minor complications that I called in to ask about. The receptionist insisted I leave a detailed message. When the Dr. called back he opened by saying “now what’s wrong with your knee?” This kind of thing happeNed at least 4 times. Always timely. The staff is terrific -- administrative and professional and Dr. Bobrow is exceptional. He treated me and described my ailment so I could understand the problem and options. Perfect balance of "bedside manner" and directness.
Dr. Bobrow is an excellent doctor. He listens, he cares, and he does everything possible to bring you back to 100%! He replaced my left knee 5 years ago, I did the work in rehab that he recommended and, in no time my left knee was better than ever! Now my right knee is hurting! He said it doesn't need surgery yet (happy news) and I got a cortisone shot (painless). Should be much better in a couple of days. I have been seeing Dr. Bobrow for about 15 years. He is easy to talk to and very often looks for non surgical solutions that have worked well for me.
Dr. Bobrow is an exemplary physician. His treatment approach is appropriately sequential. My minor surgery was very successful. He listens -- I'm a SCUBA diver (as is he), and he has given me sound advice on how to dive safely despite minor knee issues. Also, the office runs like clockwork.
Have been treated by 4 other Orthopedic specialists and none were as thorough, caring and successful as Dr. Bobrow. Wish I had known him sooner.
