Dr. Basile performed bunion surgery and removed a neuroma as well. Excellent results and follow up care.
I injured myself at the front end of an extended European vacation, was diagnosed and received treatment for an ankle injury, , was told to be patient, and so proceeded with my travels. I met Dr Basile back in ( I believe ) February He and his staff were extremely caring & knowledgeable My Bunion & (3) hammer toe surgery was done May 1st They ( and the staff @ Mt Auburn Hospital ) were extremely attentive and thorough with me and answered all my questions & concerns. I am over the Moon about my visit with Dr. Basile! He has answered my prayers by telling me he can perform an ankle replacement, that I had been previously told by another surgeon, would not be possible. He is a compassionate man, and in fact was just on channel 5 news for his phenomenal work.
Dr. Basile was a lifesaver! He did revision surgery on my bunion & hammertoe to correct a previous surgery that hadn't worked. After 4 other second opinions from top foot and ankle orthopedic surgeons, I chose Dr. Basile because he knew exactly what to do. He used the latest technology (screws, titanium joint) and his post surgery estimates were 100% accurate- I was off crutches, in a sneaker within 3 weeks and able to walk without pain in 6 weeks (vs. 7 months the first time). Foot's all fixed!
I had surgery with Dr. Basile after my daughter had such a successful experience with him for her bunion and hammertoe. He took the time to explain things in great detail and his prognosis of recovery was very accurate. I was able to put shoes on within 10 days after he corrected my crossover second toe. He treats the whole person and cares about how quickly you can resume normal activity. We've recommended Dr. Basile to so many other people - it's hard to find a great foot doctor & surgeon!
Dr Basile performed surgery on my foot for a Grade III Osteoarthritis of my Big Toe Joint. The procedure was a Hemi titanium implant and 1st Metatarsal Osteotomy. Right after surgery, I was able to bear weight as tolerated with my foot in a rigid post-op shoe. I used crutches for the first 4 or 5 days. Within 2 1/2 weeks, I was walking in a normal athletic shoe and driving again. I feel very fortunate that my local podiatrist referred me to Dr Basile for his expertise in this type of surgery.
After a full year of multiple medical issues including multiple sepsis infections, a toe amputation, nearly dying, and approximately nine months out of work, I went to Dr. Basile for a second opinion on my deteriorating condition, after being told by another Dr. that it woudl be necessary to amputate the rest of my toes on the right foot and probably take some of the foot as well. He recommenced two surgeries, and approximately three weeks after that I have healed, and am back to work.
I had surgery on oct.13 2015 some one had the same surgery tw weeks later and did not liste theare still I boot and on the scooter listened to my docter I am in reg shoes no more boot I listend to him he is greater and highly recamended debra dunn
