History Established in 2012. Erin Schmitt and Ellen Vincent opened Philadelphia Community Acupuncture, Mt. Airy in March 2012 as a second location (the first, now closed, opened in 2007 in West Philadelphia) to provide affordable acupuncture to NW Philadelphia. Since then Ellen moved to Tucson to open another acupuncture clinic, Erin has stayed put, and PCA has transformed into the nonprofit corporation Village Acupuncture Project (d/b/a Philadelphia Community Acupuncture).
