If you value getting needed medication at an emergency room, go elsewhere. A family member was admitted to the Phelps Health Emergency Room in August 2025 with an "8-out-of-10" intense pain from a root canal infection. After three hours in the ER, the hospital's pharmacy did not carry the medication the family member needed, a liquid form of amoxicillin and a liquid form of Tylenol and Codeine. The hospital emergency department ŵas great!!!
My 68 year old father went in for involuntary muscle spasms that caused him to fall in his home. This isn’t something he’s experienced before so we were very concerned. The first doctor that saw him nearly insisted that his leg had just given out and he had fallen, when he was laying in the hospital bed still having muscle spasms. They did some testing and didn’t find anything and sent him home still unable to walk or drive.
