It was really bad and SUPER expensive. The worst P.F. Chang’s we’ve been to… the food wasn’t fresh and tasted bad. Service was meh. They add you an “automatic gratuity” of 20% at checkout and then they ask for tip (we didn’t ofc). Please avoid at all costs this place
IGNORE all of the bad reviews. Just ate here with my family of 6. We ordered a lot, and the food is 95% the SAME as a “normal” PF Changs. The only complaint was that the orange chicken was “not quite as flavorful”. But everything else - spot on, even the crispy green beans. ONLY complaint is that you do not have a dedicated servers. It’s the worst PFChangs experience for three times the price, plus a mandatory 20% tip so you’re guaranteed to never see anyone. The robots worked harder for the gratuity than any of the servers… if they exist.
I was told they don't open until 12pm noon, even though Google says 10am. I have counted about 70 people walk away due to late opening. If I owned this restaurant I would be upset at lost revenue. Plus the meal was not worth $46. For a few overcooked small dry shrimp and a few small pieces of chicken. Definitely not what I have experienced from this restaurant chain in the past. But it was horrible here at LAX.
Overall, P.F. Changs was a pleasant and relaxed place to spend a long layover at LAX. The food was reasonably priced for the portion size, and was generally quite delicious. Unfortunately the addition of robot wait staff detracted from the experience. The robots made and annoying melodic chime as they moved about the dining area, and when asked for recommendations on food, they said they’d rather stick their appendages into a wall socket.
