I cannot say enough about Peyton’s. Their food is amazing. Best place for meat and 3 and their cornbread is outstanding!!!

My husband have been going here for 10 years. I use to love the place for it's good food and charm. Sadly we came in yesterday to have a good family lunch and I was so disappointed. I ordered the Chicken and dumplings and it was gross and obviously made from some cream of crap soup mix and I couldn't even finish it. The only really good thing on my plate was the fried green tomatoes. The kids hamburger is so small for the price. Take out at drive thru window is the way to go. Good food. Fair price.
The tilipia was dry and tasted bad... the chicken was dry and tough. The side salad was sad.. the coleslaw was to sweet and turnips had no flavor.

Sherry I apologize you had a bad experience & we're misinformed in regards to the chop steak. All of our beef is fresh and never frozen. I spoke with the server and she told me neither you nor your husband hinted to anything being under par & she would've gladly brought the both of you something else. We like to encourage our customers to speak up while they're here so we can address the issue right then. I hope this won't keep either of you from returning & again I apologize.
