Today I stopped in your Chesterfield location to purchase some items. I first would like to say that I was pleased to see the brand of food that I buy was having a great sale. As I approached the check out line the cashier was on his phone and never greeted myself or daughter. Once I was done placing my items on the belt I asked about the sale and if they would apply to all my items. I had an amazing interaction with a cashier yesterday at the THF location. She gave me advice on toys and treats for my new family member. She has the same breed of dog and offered suggestions on chew toy vs rawhide vs natural chew bones. She said if I ever had any questions I could always come back and ask. I didn’t catch her name but I will definitely be coming back to this location to see her!
RecommendedFive stars! They have animals to adopt and for purchase. I asked if they had a guinea pig to adopt...and they did! An older Fellow...they helped me gather gear for him and, gave me great care instructions. They were so excited he had found a home. They had been treating him for ringworm, and a respiratory infection...they didn’t give up on him, they cared enough to find him a home instead of sending him off to animal control. Very impressed ...I named him Piglet
the bottom line is that the animals come first. this is your very business motto. going to a store and seeing reptiles with necrotic wounds (missing tails, toes, with black rotting tissue), one bearded dragon with a spinal deformity and much too many being kept together in a tank. corn snakes being housed together when they do in fact cannibalize each other. even if you're short on staff. you make time. you MAKE SURE your employees are trained in the care of these animals. DO NOT let PetSmart groom your pet. We have been taking my west highland white terrier here for over 10 years and been very satisfied with the simple, westie cut. We dropped my 13-year-old westie off today for his routine cut and he came back traumatized and completely patchy shaven down to his skin- his face, everything. They only left a semi bushy tail. Usually, if he has any matting, we receive a call saying some spots may be shorter than others, but no one has ever shaved everything off out of sheer laziness...Besides th... read more
My dog was recently brought in for grooming but instead they shaved all his fur off! He looks terrible. I will never use Petsmart again. I don't think they wanted to take the time to brush him because he had just a few small matted areas, so they decided to simply save time and shave him.
Decided to give petsmart a try even though EVERYONE told me not to. Scheduled yesterday, bring my dog in for a bath and shedx treatment and they tell me they won’t give a dog a bath that has had shots in the last 48 hours. What?! No one told me that. Manager comes out, all of 18 years old and tells me too bad. No apology that I just wasted my time driving over to the Valley with my dog. Guess everyone was right.
