I have been calling this hospital for a week trying to get an explanation on my dog lab results and everytime I call the vet is in surgery. No one every returns the calls. I am so disappointed. I wonder if there is an ethical code for vets

As someone who currently works at an animal hospital, I was a little shocked at the treatment my cat received at this clinic. I adopted a cat from the shelter and was given a free exam and up to $250 for treatment at a VCA. When I arrived I was told I was checked in and waited exactly an hour after being “checked in” to call and ask for an update. VCA Petmed has been my vet of choice for 5 years, and I continue to be a faithful customer even though I moved further away and there are other vet offices that are closer to me. The staff is warm and friendly, vets are incredibly knowledgeable and friendly (but also communicate in a way I can easily understand). Exceptional doctors and professional staff make this clinic the one I trust.
After using PetMed for over 25 years I was sad to find out all the doctors are gone and the new doctors will not see my dog and was told to go to the emergency vet. I am happy to say we have a new vet that will see us today and will never use PetMed again.
After 10+ years of using PetMed for our 5 cats, it is sad today that we have had to stop using this clinic because of the horrendous and unprofessionalism of the groomers that work there. The doctors are great and have had zero issues with them, but the groomers are the worst I have had the displeasure of dealing with! If you are going to use this place for veterinary care then I do recommend them, but for grooming needs, run as fast as you can the opposite direction!
PetMed is an amazing place that loves pets and their humans. Dr. Girone took great care of my first dog about 6 years ago in his final days. Likewise, Dr. Houglum was awesome in her care and attention for my dog, Buddy. She diagnosed him with congestive heart failure and came up with a treatment plan. Unfortunately, his body wasn’t strong enough and despite treatment, he got worse. Dr. Houglum researched all of our options and presented them. I am so disappointed in my experience today at VCA Petmed on Bell Rd today. My family has been going to Dr Girone for longer than I can remember. Today, I had an appointment with another vet there to check on two of my dogs. An hour and a half after my appointment time, I was still waiting to see the veterinarian. We had only spoken to a vet tech, and as I gave him a history on my new pet, he told me he didn’t care about most of it - that when he is a vet, maybe he’ll care more.
