I bought a puppy at petland dallas and when I bought it home it was sick. I called them to tell them he was sick. Petland told me to wait a little bit because my puppy might be nervous being in a new home. I let a few days go by and my puppy never got better. It wasn't till I hired and lawyer and cried and begged petland to help me out. That my puppy was sick when I bought her. The vet (provided by petland ) said the sickness the puppy has was giving to her by her mother. That the puppy was sick from the beginning. So after I cried to them and begged them and got a lawyer they decided to help me by taking care of my puppy while it was sick and until it got better. After 3 weeks they call me and told me the puppy was healthy and ready to pick up. I then said I would pick up the puppy until it was released by the vet. Meaning the vet issued a note stating my puppy was not testing positive with the sickness. The vet refused to give me the letter stating the puppy was no longer testing positive for the disease it had. The vet wouldn't because my puppy was still sick. However petland bullied me and the vet to pick up the puppy because is wasn't sick. Not even a full day of being home my puppy was sick again . And not after letting my lawyer talk to petland they decided to take the puppy back and issued me a store credit. But it didn't finish there. We took the puppy back on a Monday and by Saturday my puppy was for sale again!!! Which is sick and pathetic!!!! They saw how much pain and suffering my family and I went through and they are willing to do this to a family again!!! So sad!! Please don't buy puppy's from here!!

We went to the store to purchase a puppy. After being there a while, we decided not too. This place was disgusting. Puppies eating their own poop, it smelled. Some of the puppies also looked very sick! Places like this need to be closed!

I have now bought 2 puppies at Petland...the 1st was in San Antonio...my hometown..however when it came time to get my son's puppy (it was a surprise for him so we needed it before he got home from his dads house) the SA location had none. Since our experience at Petland was so awesome with our first puppy (a german shepherd), we decided to go to another Petland...it was a 4 hour drive for us, but they had the breed (siberian husky) we wanted with a few to choose from. I called and talked to someone over the phone first...and admittedly, did NOT ask the price. I figured it couldn't be a whole lot more than the location by us was (we had been researching them for a while). We finally got to the store about an hour before they closed and fell in love with our pup...they ring her up and when they told us the price...we were floored. Over 1000 dollars more than our San Antonio Petland was charging for the same breed. They justify it all with including extras that are ABSOLUTELY USELESS to someone who lives hundreds of miles away (vet visits, training, nail trimmings etc). I'm sorry...but if someone can provide proof that these items are unusable, there should be a way to not charge for this nonsense. Not to mention that all the warranty they taut is useless to me because I am not driving my sicky puppy 5 hours either and will take him to a local vet. I am not driving 5 hours to take my dog to training or a vet. Unfortunately because of timing...because we fell in love with her etc...we ended up getting her anyway...but VERY DISSAPPOINTED in this Petland. If the San Antonio Petland has your pup...I highly recommend going there as they do not charge ANY of this nonsense.
