Dr. Peter Derman performed endoscopic discectomy of my lateral herniated disc on July 29, 2025. When I awoke from general anesthesia I had complete absence of pain in my leg, buttock, back and at the incision site. This was an amazing change from my immediate preoperative state. Dr Peter Derman is an excellent surgeon. I highly recommend him for spinal surgery. Excellent communication with the staff. I had complete relief of my back pain after surgery. The pre-op video links were very helpful as well as the clear instructions given. I traveled 7 hours to go to Dallas for surgery and am very glad I did.
Could not recommend Dr. Derman more highly. If you got back pain, he is your guy!!!
First, I must say Dr Derman is extremely professional and down to earth. Always greets you with a smile. His staff follows suit. But that is not what makes him stand out, it is what he said he could do with confidence and he did. My L5/ S1 got screwed up 6 years ago in the gym. As of last year that occasional pain turned into extreme daily pain and lasted almost 14 months without a day of relief. When my PCP referred me to him he wasn't quick to offer surgery.
