I just had my six week follow up with Dr. Derman. I had an ultra Minimally Invasive Posterior Cervical Foraminotomy on my C7-T1 for a web of bone spurs encapsulating my C8 nerve in the left foramina. Dr Derman treated my reherniated disc at L3-L4 with his endoscopic microdiscectomy surgery after failed conservative treatment. I was unable to walk even one block before surgery. My pain went from an 8 to a 0 immediately post op and has stayed that way for 6 weeks. Everything about the experience with Dr Derman and his staff - starting with his video review of my MRI and ending with my post operative meetings — has been first class. I am now able to resume activities with no restrictions. I highly recommend this practice.
Dr. Derman and his PA Claire Nagel are the best! I herniated my L5/S1 disc in Septemper of 2025 and had significant pain down my left leg. Due to my travel schedule I was unable to see a doctor until early November. I wanted to avoid surgery if at all possible so the PA Claire Nagel worked to get me into a treatment plan involving physical therapy, chiropractic care, and steroid injections.
