I have put 2 reviews on here, this is my third. First surgery September 10th 2024. L3, L4, L5, S1 fusion. It’s been over 5 months, I still have a dropped foot, can’t drive because I have a brace and little feeling. Hip hurts from the way I have to walk, and back is killing me. So after 61/2 months more x-rays, CT scan, MRI and a Myelogram, more surgery needed🤬 From what I can gather, one of the screws has come loose which needs to be removed and insurance company said something about more fusion work. Dr. Gerszten has completely changed my life. 4 months ago I was a suicidal hunchbacked cripple. Today...I feel like a teenager again! I am 100% pain free with bolt upright posture! My gratitude has brought me to tears. This is the 3rd successful back surgery Dr. Gerszten has performed on me. I have a genetic disorder that's causing severe degenerative disc syndrome. If I could have done no stars I would have. I had my surgery in 2006. Idk why I didn't write this then. This guy told me surgery will do you wonders.I had a spinal fusion with hardware placement L4, L5, S1. I woke up sick which ok. I didn't have feeling in my right foot. Oh it will go away 19 years later still numb. I fall all the time bc of it. So I went back 1 other times I could feel something in the surgical area went to see him. There's nothing there.
