Was able to immediately look at our car to verify a major mechanical concern. Most other shops told us to make a booking or that they were too busy for new customers. Very honest feedback, much appreciated!
Peter is such an honest and great mechanic - that's how I imagine it used to be in the 80s - straight forward and NO bs. Especially as a youngish woman, a lot of the mechanics take advantage of it and tell us to service everything - but not peter! Totally honest energy, fair charges, said what I really needed to get done and even helped with extra stuff at no cost. The recent REVIEW calling him a scammer is absolute nonsense. SCAM WARNING!! Went in to change brake pads, explicitly only asked to change that. He rung up midday and quoted $360 over the phone for the brake pads. When I went to pick up my car I found they serviced my car without asking. Charged $350 for a service too! Total was over $620. Servicing cars without asking is a classic mechaic's scam. STAY AWAY. Don't be fooled by the other reviews like me!
I was recommend Peter by a friend,and have been very impressed,Workmanship,friendliness,and value for money. No messing about if it dosnt need the work he won't suggest it. Only honest workmanship and quotes. Highly recommended. Due to his popularity you may have to wait when booking in But it is by far worth the wait. If there was an award for bussiness of the year peter august auto repairs deserves it . .
