My sister fell and needed shoulder ORIF surgery, so we found Dr Ameglio through Lee Health. Her surgery went extremely well, and her recovery was fast and relatively painless. So, when I needed shoulder replacement surgery (total reverse) after my own 15 year old ORIF, I would only consider Dr Ameglio. My surgery went extremely well. Dr. Ameglio performed my SuperPATH hip replacement and I could not be happier with the outcome. I am just a few weeks out from surgery and my recovery has been smooth, on schedule, and far better than I expected. My X-rays show excellent alignment, my leg lengths are equal, and my pain level is very low. I am already walking well and even riding a stationary bike. Dr Ameglio did a fantastic job replacing my right hip using the SuperPath technique. Just 4 weeks after my surgery I am walking unaided with no pain down my leg and only some soreness at the surgery incision. I am also not taking any pain meds for my hip! I would highly recommend Dr Ameglio for this procedure!
Dr Ameglio replace my R hip beginning of October 2025. The recovery was interesting for my, all went by the book, walking with walker since day one. With a cane after 10 days. My tips; ice very often, for me it replaced pain medication. Also ask for a referral for physical therapy to continue. I went to the Babcock facility. Now 3 months later, I am biking , walking and swimming as before, even better.
Fantastic surgeon using the (speed path method) for my hip replacement small incision 2-2/12 inches versus 9-10 inches…1st week after surgery used cane & walker 2nd week just the cane 3rd week no cane or walker (no pain) Iam free to lead a normal pain free life…explains completely what to expect before hand if you what the best here he is.
