Normally very happy with this location but after my visit on May 18, I most likely will not be back. My sister and I waited at the check out for 15 minutes and not one associate came to the register. The grooming department paged for a cashier 3 times and still no one came. Even called 2 people by name and neither came up. My sister decided to walk throughout the store and she found one employee working on the floor assisting a customer. She asked if he was the only employee working and his response was extremely rude. Why in the world would this Petco manager throw out a responsible and reputable adoption group because they are responsible and do not do walk up adoptions but have a screening process that reduces the risk of impulse adoptions which will fail and sometimes harm the dog. The volunteer has been there faithfully for several years and this was the reception this weekend. Disgusting! Rude and disgraceful. And certainly NOT in the best interest of a company that makes its profits on selling to pet owners.
