It has been almost a year since I have walked into Petco in Klamath Falls, Oregon. I was definitely surprised at how filthy the place was! The colorful plastic tubing by the rodent/guinea pig section had a layer of dust all over it like it has been a good year since it was dusted. The place smelled throughout the store. The shelves were stocked & pallets of inventory sitting in aisles so at least the store has product to sell for people. This review is specific to Unleash store #1192 in H St in Chula Vista, CA. Here are the accounts of what occurred. - We have an 80-pound double doodle. Have been purchasing GloFish aquariums and supplies from this store. We had an early annoyance because we had purchased multiple fish, and 2 died right away. When my DEAF son tried to return the fish they hassled him. So we decided that we would no longer return any dead fish just give them "burial at sea". This past Saturday he (my DEAF son)went to the store as we wanted to add 2 more fish. Yolanda did the grooming of my dog on 08/29/23. She poked his right eye with a sharp object. When I picked up my dog, I asked what happened. She said it’s been there when I dropped which is a total lie as I pay close attention to my dog and I’ll know if anything like that happened to him. She took the help of front desk guy to say yes to what she lied about. My dog couldn’t open his eye for two days which scared me. Bathroom is always dank and grungy, & toilet paper is usually a loose partial roll sitting on top of the dispenser instead of in it (so it can fall on the dirty, sometimes wet floor, and people's dirty fingers have to hold the roll in order to use it). Live pet foods in the small refrigerator (mealworms, earthworms, etc) are very sparsely stocked and most of them are nearly a month since the date marked on them (some much older than a month), with a lot of dead ones visible in the containers. So yesterday I wrote a review about how besides the $7 delivery fee, a tip of 20% gets added to your order automatically unless you "uncheck" the box! Then they deliver someone else's order and will not respond to my text. I call the store to get told that since it is after 2, they will deliver my items today. Well, I had to go out of town today to get back home to NO delivery. Mind you they already took my money! This is total BS and I am not a happy customer. Went to return Halo dry dog food that we purchased for our dog. We believe that this food did not agree with her. Use it by adding to her regular diet and she had stomach issues. We then waited a couple weeks and and tried it a second time and got the same unpleasant results. Obviously, we decided not to try again and went to return it. We were told that even though we had bought it there, they would not take it back. No credit after 30 days. This company is selling food they do not stand behind. Do not do your puppy training here! We had three in-store sessions with Sam (Samara) in Reno, NV South Virginia location and every session was basically the same. Each session she had a new puppy that would start and would take a big chunk of class time registering the new puppy and going over what to expect from the class, the basic "rules" of training, how the classes work, her personal dog stories, etc. Each class felt like the first initial class where not a lot happened.
