High Prices Having 2 dogs and 5 cats I shop the local pet stores quite frequently. Petco has virtually the same inventory as PetsMart but their prices are always much higher. Their staff is not as friendly and their deals and coupons are not as good as PetsMart. With both stores so close together I'm amazed Petco is still in business. PROS: CONS: High Prices

Great service for your pet At Petco, not only can you get all the things you need for your pet, but they do grooming as well for a pretty good price. They sell aquariums there too. I got everything I needed for my 55 gallon tank there. Very happy with the service and the prices.

Not a happy customer... This place is such a mess, I don't know why people even go there when they can't even provide satisfactory customer service? No wonder people are quitting or they're getting fired for no apparent reason. These people think they know it all but all they do is slack around, there's a lady named Janet there who is downright rude! Never again am I going to step into that store again.

ok-somewhat overpriced This store has a great set up and you can find just about anything for pets. I would never by a fish from there though because there are always dead fish(most you can tell have been in there awhile) The staff is usually friendly but sometimes seem annoyed that your asking them questions and they have to do their job. Some of the stuff there is great prices and others are so outragously priced(ie able to find the same thing at walmart for 1/2 the price)

Pet Supplies Petco has some great doggie treats that are actually healthy and nutritious. I buy the majority of the doggie snacks here. For some reason, the store is pretty quiet during the day but then that means I get the best service and no lines at the check out counter.

Mr. Squeakers and "crickets" For Christmas this year the only thing my youngest child really wanted was a real "live" Frog......one that she could keep in her room and that she wouldn't have to let go!! So, she unwrapped a "habitat" for one and after the holidays we made the trek to Petco, to see what we would find. Fun Store Petco is one of my childrens' favorite places to go. They love looking at the fish, rabbits, hamsters,birds, reptiles, puppies & kittens. The store is very spacious and always has in stock whatever I need to buy. They also carry several unique pet items.

Petco Good pet store for a national chain. Prices are good. Somewhat concern about the quality of the pets. I do like to buy some of my pet supplies there due to the prices being somewhat cheaper. I have never purchased an animal there, but while I was looking for one to purchase some of the staff did not seem to familiar with the animal I was looking to buy and they referred me to a "care sheet". I was not comfortable making a choice based on a piece of paper so I went elsewhere.

Great selection Petco and PetSmart have a great selection of pet supplies. I really enjoy walking around, and my toddler thinks it is a sort of indoor zoo. Very cheap entertainment!!!
