I took my puppy for her first training with Sarah. This was more of a gradual training method with treats. It gives the dog the idea that it wants to behave instead of fearing bad behavior. In the past I have trained dogs with choke collars. I did not want that for my puppy. Even after one lesson I am seeing improvement in her behavior at home. So, thank-you Sarah and Petco

Extremely poor store, very rude and very disrespectful managers and staff alike. Save your time, money and frustration and go to Petsmart instead where they actually know how to do business. It's just a block away anyway and you won't regret not shopping at petco.

If you like being ripped off, over paying, dealing with people who seem to perform miracles by even putting on their own pants in the morning, than this is the store for you! Thank god there are plenty of other pet stores or my pets would be out of luck because i refuse to ever shop there again. Worst pet store ever, not only because it's tiny and lacks selection and stock, but mainly due to the poor customer service and lack of care from the employee's, especially management. I was at petco in Springfield Illinois Saturday march 19th. All the employees were very nice but 1 in particular stood out. His name tag said Martin, but he called hi self Marty. His knowledge of the products and animals was amazing. He was super friendly and helpful. I was amazed at his knowledge considering he is also a school teacher too.

I love this store and so do my dogs. The workers always go out of their way to greet my dogs and give them treats. They get way more attention here than they get at other pet stores!

I asked to see a ferret. He was asleep in the hut. The employee refused to show him to me saying "we don't usually let people hold them" I didn't ask to hold the ferret. I asked to SEE it. The woman couldn't be bothered to walk to the back of the store unlock the cage and pick up the ferret and do her job. Guess they didn't want to sell the ferret. What a pity. He would have had a great home.

I loved standing at the counted this morning waiting for 5 minutes when not even 30 mins after this store is opening, the older man that was suppose to be attending the only checkout is outside on a bench smoking with another guy. I left leaving my $30 purchase at the counter. Thank you for reminding why I should just continue my business at Petsmart 3 blocks down the road.
