Do not shop at petco for fresh water or salt water fish I’ve been raising fish exotic and fresh water for 8+ years and recently bought some fish to add to my aquariums and they had diseases and killed 97% of my very expensive fish I’ve raised Since they were young. Went to talk about the issue an got no reimbursement not even customer service as to why they sell fish with bacterial infections and disease I’m in disbelief how a corporate company can even sell fish like so an think it’s ok to sell such fish to people who take ... read more

We are regulars at this local Petco. There are many issues we regularly see with the reptile/amphibian exhibits. Currently, they have a curly hair tarantula for $40. But this poor spider is literally dying in the tank. It has kicked so many hairs off its abdomen that it now has an abscess. We asked an associate if they would be willing to lower the price to maybe $20 so we could take it home and at least make it comfortable while it passes. Disappointingly, we were denied. saw there curly hair tarantula thats extremely stressed to the point of rubbing an abcess on its abdomen, told them if they cut the price ill take it home and try to nurse it back to health, they said no. at this point I'm pretty sure the tarantula may not survive a rehouse into a new enclosure and there still trying to make a sale on a already over priced common tarantula that will definetly die in the next few weeks, when I addresed an employee she told me its getting ready for a molt, its stance and demenor was that of st... read more

was a waste to go there manager was working fish area and she was rude as hell we walked out and decided not to buy plus alot of the tanks had dead fish in them it was ridiculous

We had an appointment scheduled for our dog today at 2:30 (appointment was made online and we had a confirmation text) We showed up and were told we don’t have an appointment despite having the confirmation. Mistakes happen but there was absolutely no attempt at to fix it. No one asked to reschedule, no one said sorry, no one wanted to help at all. I was fine with the mistake but the lack of concern is what got me. This was the second time this has happened. I won’t be buying my food, supplies, or grooming my two dogs here a... read more

follow the directions for providing care to your animals in store. I stood back by the amphibian section for about 30 minutes waiting for an employee to come assist me, the manager and employee were at the register standing and chatting the whole time. your tree frog green and black tree frogs are going to die. the humidity level is at 35, it needs to be between 70-90%. there is no water at all in any of their dishes.

was in there this morning trying to buy crickets for my beardy. stood back there for 20 mins n no one came to see if I needed help. this happens alot. when I walked up to the registers to ask for help, there were all the associate s having a break in the grooming area. the other customer in the back left angry. why did no one come back to help us. you need to hire people who want to work n no not just visit on someone else's dime. today is Sunday Jan 6th.
