The biggest problem with Petaluma Pie Company is that it's 2045 miles away from my house! I've only been there a couple of times when I've been in the area to visit family. I've had a savory and a sweet pie each time, and I have to say that my hands-down favorite was the out-of-this-world Pear Cardamom Hand Pie. Next time I go see my brother, I'm coming back for more pie! Please make me some and send them through the internets?
Their sweet potato pie is perfect, but the cheeseburger pie I took to go was the real surprise. How do you cook a cheeseburger inside a pie and make it taste like a real and delicious cheeseburger? I'll be trying all of their savory items as soon as I get the chance. For dessert, I may have to stick to sweet potato.

Really delicious little pies. My daughter and I shared a small pulled pork and caramelized onion pie. Balanced well, and not too sticky sweet, or overly meaty because of the good layering with the onions. We also shared a bite size key lime, and it was really good, like custard, and not overly sweet either. It needed a tiny bit more lime and maybe filled a bit more or less crust so better ratios. However, with the fresh mini wedge on top, a few squirts of fresh lime juice, it was really nice.

I'm so glad I found this place! I don't go to Petaluma often but now I'll make sure to get pie every time I do! My chocolate pie was amazing! Pretty sure we will be pre-ordering for thanksgiving this year!
