Pet Ponderosa Resorts & Spas is GREAT! We have been using Pet Ponderosa for approximately seven years for our Black Labs grooming as well as boarding. The employees from the owner to the groomers are and have always been very polite and professional. We take our lab there at least once every five weeks for a grooming. I would reccommend this place to any one that cares for their pet!!!!!

The Owner is very professional, delightful and very accommodating to our special wishes for our dogs. Always good follow-up and they meet our dogs special needs. Terrible Experience It is somewhat of a difficult task to choose which reason for disdain to speak on first, however, I would have to say the issue that comes most to mind for the time being, is the ridiculously major difference between quoted amount to be payed and actual paid amount. We were initially quoted for 2 dogs at a rate of $30 per night, based solely on my husband's rank of SSG. rude & arrogant staff and owner I think they really do care about the animals but the way they treat people is awful. Horrible public relations. Very rude, extremely arrogant non-professional attitudes. I am searching for other places to board our animals and so far, thankfully, have found a few. It's too bad they are ruining their business with their attitudes. It's doubtful they will learn that you can't treat the people that pay you like crap. Live and learn.
Pet Ponderosa Resorts & Spas is Top of the LINE! I love pet ponderosa! And that Lisa lady that complained had to be crazy! It was their anniversary! Very Pleased! My husband and I left our two dogs with Pet Ponderosa, my mother in-law had recommended the place so we thought we give it a try, I was a little afraid with my 8 month old puppy but they took excellent care of both of my dogs, not to mentioned my puppy is taking several different prescriptions and they were more than happy to give it to her on a daily basis, and when we came back she was actually doing much better, we read the website for prices and all details so we have no complains with pricing in fact they ... read more
barking? This is a response to the previous review that said the dogs bark all night. I live near Pet Ponderosa also, and I rarely hear the dogs bark at night. Occasionally, I can hear a bark or two during the day, but that's expected. Dogs will be dogs! I can sleep soundly during the summer with my windows wide open and not hear a peep.
Thank you, Pet Ponderosa Pet Ponderosa was a God-Send when I PCS'd across Country to Fort Lewis with 5 rescue doggies and six kitties. They met the pet transporter van late at night to take care of my animals. Unfortunately, the service I used for transport (TLC Pet Transport) did not provide the service they guarenteed. Pet Ponderosa staff had to give all a bath and throw away the bedding as TLC Pet Transport had not stopped to let them potty every 4 hours as they promised. Great for dogs! My dogs love it here!! I have taken them here for years and have always been satisfied. The staff is always very professional with me and loving with my dogs. My only complaint is the manager. Since she has started I have noticed there has been a shift in the atmosphere. It's not something that affects the work at all, but you can tell the staff is a little more stressed now.
