I've boarded my dog at the University Blvd location three times. Twice for daycare and once for an overnight stay. The customer service at this location is great and the staff is very friendly, especially the manager. She gave me a free night stay just for charging me for a nail trim they forgot to do. I was not expecting that. Regarding previous posters. I also had my dog boarded for daycare back in August when these are mentioning, and my dog also picked up an upper respiratory infection. Recently my dogs spent several nights at the JIA Pet Paradise facilty. They came home exhausted and smelling better than when I dropped them off. I have used this facility numerous times and continue to highly recommed to everyone one I come in contact with.

I just picked up both of my dogs from staying there 10 days. I have used this facility many many times in the past 10 years and will again in the future. It has reliable service and the staff there are always pleasant and helpful. Most of the previous comments leave me puzzled. Regarding kennel cough, all dogs are to be vaccinated for bordatella before being allowed to stay. I don't understand how someone can claim their pet acquired this at any facility if they indeed had been vaccinating their pet. My dogs always enter her... read more

I boarded my puppy there along with a friends puppy and another dog. They all stayed in the same kennel, and while I must admit it seemed they had fun, they were out playing in the hose and running when I picked them up. My puppy and my friends puppy both ended up with kennel cough. Will not be going back.

we typically board our lab at coastal, but due to coastal being booked we gave this location a shot. picked up our dog and paid the ~$100 +. a day later our dog has a upper respiratory infection. in addition, at registration we also learned that our dogs food had to be portioned. (never mind that we called in advanced to find out how things worked so we could be prepared). the staff was pretty rude in handling this conversation. that's was our 1st and last reservation.

BOARD AT YOUR OWN RISK @ PET PARADISE A/K/A AMERICAN PET RESORT Sadly, I learned the hard way that if your beloved pet is seriously injured while in the care of Pet Paradise, you have no legal recourse under Florida State Statutes. I boarded my Llaso Apso's - William Curley and Gus - at Pet Paradise in Jacksonville Florida. Great place but can be pricy – I have two labador retrievers, both have stayed here multiple times with no issues what so ever. In fact, they get so excited they almost tear the car apart on the way. The advice I can give is two fold, and this is true for any boarding facility. Make sure your dogs flea and heart worm is up to date, more dogs in one place means more pests. Nasty, unwashed bedding. – Nasty bedding. Upon arriving with my dog, he was taken from me and walked through a door to this runs. I wanted to go back and see what the area looked like where he would sleep. I was told I could not go through door personnel only. Anyway, I had to leave immediately for the airport. my dog got a skin infection here – I took my dog to the Pet Paradise on University Blvd. I chose this pet facility because it looked as though she would have a great, fun time here. The pictures of the place were very impressive. We had bordered her here for 6 days, while we went on vacation. The biggest mistake we have ever made.
