Easily my first choice when getting food for my animals, friendly people, friendly enviornment.. food trips turn into 30 minute to hour long hangouts!

Friendly, trustworthy, people, who know their stuff.
First visit today, and everybody looked great, except the hermit crabs. Meant to say something but got caught up in everything else. Hermit crabs live for up to 30 years in the wild and depend on humidity to breathe through modified gills. Please seal your screen lid with plexiglass or even saran wrap and keep humidity at a constant minimum of 80% or they will slowly (over months) suffocate. Otherwise, great store!

I have always adored this pet store and I would give them 5 starts except I'm taking one away because of my recent experience . I had put two bearded dragons on hold because they just seemed get along great, I never picked them up because one had gotten sick or something and passed away and I was told I would get my deposit back if I wanted by one person , and then the next person told me I can't have any of it back . I feel they should have at least let me get the amount for the one that passed away back .

I wish I had found this place sooner. The staff have been so amazing and super supportive of me and my daughter getting a pet snake. I wasn't very comfortable handling the snake, and my daughter really wanted to have one. The staff here taught me so much about snakes, and helped me over a months time, being very patient with me as I visited over and over again, trying to decide if I want to get her a snake or not. We love this store. Our family goes to this pet store all the time to visit our parrot "friends". Mama Jean is the sweetest lady and we love our new Quaker!
I've been going to this Petshop for over 25 years, and the service is always up to par. Not the very best Petshop in Tidewater, but you can probably find what you need here (if it's not too exotic). Friendly staff and "competitive" prices. Decent Petshop in my opinion.
Went here was interested in piece of coral, had no prices asked how much, the employee couldn't tell me said she would have to talk to manager but manager wasn't there and said he had no phone to contact. She did her part and was helpful, but one would think the management would be more helpful. She said he had been gone for a hr and hopefully would be back soon so I waited about 15 minutes and while I was waiting was looking at fish, saw a lot of dead saltwater fish.
