Your groomer should be let go. Shaving down double coated dogs is not right, especially after being told not to. How ignorant! Their coat can be damaged permanently. And Mn has subzero temperatures this week!
Don't ever use their groomers.

I've only gone a few times, but each visit with our cats here has been good.
This review is for the groomer: We dropped off our Bernedoodle puppy and did not want very much taken off since it was his first haircut as a puppy and we like his hair long. We told this to the groomer at the door and asked that they only cut an inch of hair off his body. When we picked him up he was shaved down completely! We asked the groomer and they said they only do buzzer cuts and not scissor cuts. So what we asked for was not possible and the groomer didn’t even tell us this.
