I liked how quickly I was able to get an appointment and how efficient the practice is. I believe Dr. Perri is very knowledgeable, but this visit felt too rushed. As a person with many moles who has also had skin cancer, I was really hoping to get a more thorough check. Sadly, I won't be returning.
Pros: Easy fwy access to office, efficient front desk intake staff, short wait for appt. Cons: The visit always feels impersonal and rushed. He was in my room 5 minutes tops. Questions are not solicited nor answered. No warm fuzzy experience here. I think that this is what the future with an AI robot will be like, except I might get my questions answered.
We used Dr Perri for 5 years, and found him to be knowledgeable - - always willing to refer to specialized dermatologists when necessary. However, his 'extremely rushed' mode of operation never made us feel comfortable with him, so we found a dermatologist who would spend more time with us discussing our situation and answering questions. This doctor does not want to interface with you at all. It appears his only interest is to get in and out of the exam room as quickly as possible. I went in for a skin exam as I have had squamous cell in the past, and so I get an annual check up. When Dr. Perri showed up in the exam room he spent exactly 38 seconds on his exam and was starting to leave and then I stopped him and said I have a few areas of concern on my ear and my forehead and the top of my head. My first visit to this doctor, put yourself in my shoes.1. Looked at my area of concern, said it was squamous cell carcinoma no big deal biopsied it.2. Biopsy came back malignant melanoma and had an MA passing herself off as a PA tell me you have melanoma and MD Anderson will call you, only told me it was thick.3. Signed 23 forms and they would not give me the pathology report or go over it.4. Had my IM get the report and go over it with me. I wished I had read all the bad reviews about this doctor before going to his office, otherwise I would have never made an appointment to waste my time and money. Three minutes of talk if that long when he came in the exam room. 1.This spots because of your age - he can do nothing. 2. These ones if I fixed will comeback. 3. For this problem we don't have a laser machine. 4. My wife and I both had an appointments with Dr. Perri. He was polite but the time spent with each of us was very brief. He came into the room and asked me the question What I can do for you (5 seconds). When I mentioned about the spots on my face, he took a look and decided to frozen it )1 minute). Within 3 minutes, my appointment with Dr. Perri was done. It took even shorter with my wife (2 minutes).
Awesome. always greets me by name and ask me my concerns, does his skin checks and leaves.
Always timely and very thorough.
