I have long hair, a little below the middle of my back, with a side part. and wanted a clean-up as I hadn't had my hair cut in 4 months. The things I specified were a blunt cut vs vertical cuts on the bottom, and to keep the long layers that I had. Well now, as it turns out, my sides have mostly chin length hair and the side my hair goes to was cut as inverted bob.
