Welcome to Pepperhead! Pepperhead opened in the fall of 2009, owned and managed by Tess Monta¿o and her father, Pete. Our restaurant features Northern New Mexico-style Mexican food and other Southwestern dishes. Local produce and meats are featured on the menu whenever possible, and we aim to be as environmentally friendly as possible, carrying only draft beers and fountain drinks to eliminate bottle waste. Love this place, we eat here everytime we come to Cortez
My husband and I decided to stop here based on Yelp reviews for an early dinner after a day of traveling. We were immediately greeted and seated in the room with the big window -\-\ great lighting and decor. The server quickly took our drink order and brought out the chips & salsa. The salsa is excellent, not overly spicy, but full of flavor. I've had better chips, but they aren't worth complaining about.
