This was my first and last time ever coming to Pep Boys. Came in this morning for a simple oil change. Shortly afterwards jump on the highway for family 4th of July gathering only to have to turn around and come because underneath the car was not screwed back and was hanging while I was driving delaying me in the process. Never had issues at Firestone or even a quick lube for a simple oil change.
Just left the Conner ave store.. Took the day off to get the mass air flow sensor replaced after being told it would be there (3 days ago).. Bad news: it's not there.. Game is that the manager and service rep want to order from somewhere else and tack that charge into myself.. This is so unfair.. To top it off; they wanted to give me a 10% discount that I already possessed (via coupon ). I really trusted PB; now I see a deceitful and slight crooked side... Consumers pay attention to PB's.. .Made an appt on 03/13 for 8am 03/28; got there on time but was told it doesn't matter if I have an appt, the other people were first. So what's the point in making an appointment? Plenty competition with better customer service.
Overall they are a great company yet if when I make an appointment I truly expect it to be in the system for the service rep to see (and every time I show they never see my appointment but I get the confirms in an email). With that said comes the total disconnect from the customer and the shop. If I make an appointment for a fuel filter change, one would think that when you show up the parts are present and service would be provided. NOT THE CASE! Call the store and see if they have the parts first...if not, get the parts an... read more
I think if Pep Boys is going to stay in business, it needs to really improve in the repair and service areas. I came away from my last service highly disappointed. I came in for a brake inspection that I feel was either not done or rushed through. Because two days after getting my break inspection and break service, I needed to replace not only my breaks but rotors too costing me more money. I feel you guys are in a position where people trust you but I felt taken advantage of.
There open on sunday yay so happy !!!
