Recently went to the Long Island city pepboys for brake pads. Why? Because I didn't feel like doing them and I knew they were getting low. No grinding, vibrations, pulsating. Under brake services it says they will replace pads and resurface rotors. Perfect.So I get there, wait a bit over an hour and they tell me I need rotors and pads. These workers are full of shit at pep boys they don’t want the business you go in to buy a battery and they tell u we have cars when I see the garage empty and no customers at all. Pep boys is astoria on 21st one the worst places I have ever been to for auto related matters, I was so upset that I need a battery so bad but I left paid 50.00 more but got it done same day If your reading this and trying to go there don’t just don’t
Everything about this store is horrible.
They caught my car on fire and are now trying to charge me 2x the cost on parts while not filing an incident report, they keep hanging up on me and are not acknowledging They fucked up.
A good place to buy and air freshener ....THAT'S IT! 4 trips , 3 parts and over $1000 to Pep Boys later....my car still has the same problem. I was told "we couldn't find anything" Is that the level of mechanics that you employ ? One's that give up? The awesome part is...upon giving up...I was asked to pay $49 for the diagnosis. After getting no resolve on the store level, I contacted Pep Boys Customer Service. Their solution: "We filed a report, you have to call the store manager to follow up".
