Ear Catastrophe Update. An ENT worked me in at 3:00 pm today. I did not see a physician. I saw a technician, a person whose main job is cleaning ears. She looked in my ear. She said, "I do not see a significant amount of wax." She said, "I see a clump of dried blood and pus." She said, "You have a pretty bad ear infection." She said, "I do not know why anyone would have blasted water into that ear canal." She said, "Here, let me suction that debris out of your ear." I will write this in bullet point format to avoid verbosity and yet cover all points. I am 65, female, and in generally good health. Two weeks ago, I experienced an upper respiratory illness. The immediate illness ended, but I continued to have bouts of coughing, extreme sinus discomfort, and general malaise.
