I had an awful experience laboring in the PEC. The midwife and nurse practitioner did not believe I was actually in labor and they downplayed my symptoms for hours and even considered sending me home 40 mins away even though I was continuously making cervical change. Made appt as a new patient for a consult for an issue and ended up leaving without being seen. My appt was with Dr. KatsNelson at 3:40. I was called back about 10 mins early. Assistant recorded my pressure and weight and said Dr would be in after she finished with her last patient . I sat in that room until 4:20 with no one coming in to check on me or update me about Dr. running behind. I did not include the first 10 mins since I was called back early. Told my doctor I was having very bad irregular periods, he gave me birth control and ibuprofen and dismissed my symptoms. A year later after being told ITS JUST A NORMAL PERIOD…. I was diagnosed with Stage 4 Endometriosis and PCOS. They will not take you seriously! Get a second opinion
I was extremely sick and was told a nurse would call me back. I didn’t get that call until a couple days later. Almost two weeks passed with the exact same symptoms, so I went to their emergency room. They put an IV in my arm and told me I’d be getting fluids, but then they left me sitting there for three hours with no updates, no help, nothing. I finally got up and left—still sick, still suffering. Penn Medicine is honestly the worst. I’m pregnant and I still don’t know anything about my baby’s health or my own
The doctor herself has the intelligence and enthusiasm of a person who has a recent education and wants to do right by her patients. She is a thinker . Close to 5 stars for her ! ☆☆☆☆1/2 But entering a building that feels like a military installation is a bit much. Very off- putting. Politely stated, it's sickening. There are ways to have a secure facility without what happens here.Case in point, Try Penn Medicine at Radnor.More humane. What's the difference ? Tough to get appointments at Penn and I'm waiting for call backs.... read more
