I was a patient at Penn Medicine OBGYN Midwifery Care for my postpartum appointment on 1/29/2026 in the afternoon. I went back and forth about writing this review, but my partner encouraged me to speak up—not only for myself, but for the front desk staff and medical assistants/nurses who have been consistently kind and supportive throughout my pregnancy. The second is the charm! This was fun and empowering, and immediately after, I was ready to do it again. There's a lot to be said about Pennsylvania Hospital labor, delivery, and maternity teams and the Penn Midwives. My first delivery at Virtua Vorhees was worse than hot garbage; it was a lava landfill in comparison to Penn. Also, my mental state is completely the opposite. The many negative reviews and low ratings for this office truly reflect the type of experience you can expect here. Unfortunately, my experience was no different. I was hoping to transfer my prenatal care from another Penn OB floor to the midwifery team and followed all the necessary steps, including sending over my medical records. I have been going here for years. I expressed concerns in reference to my symptoms, even this year in July. I even expressed the pattern in my family history with one medical condition that runs in my family. My concerns and symptoms were minimized, ignored, and overlooked. No test were ran, and they tried to pass it off as oh that’s normal. The OB team at Penn Medicine Washington square are amazing!! During my pregnancy, I was treated by Dr. Goins and the NPs Tammaris and Claudia. Every single member of the staff from the front desk, nursing staff, and clinicians were extremely friendly and welcoming at each session. They were on time or early for every single visit. The clinicians took the time to answer all of our questions thoroughly and made my husband and I so comfortable during every step.
