Many of my friends gave birth at Pennsy and recommeded us. Dr Gearhart is great, and other doctors and nurses are great too, but we have a terrible experience with the back office people. We need paperwork with FMLA but they have not responded for more than a month despite repeated attempts (messages and voice messages). If the paperwork for FMLA is not done before delivery, it will be a disaster. This place deserves much better supportive people in the back office.

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. I have been getting the run around with this office for months now. They canceled my appts with no notice or a care to reschedule. I personally feel like if I were of different race/background, I would be having a completely different experience.

Horrible experience!,…. They do not like or care for the brown patients!!!! The doctor kept making comments about my insurance, they totally ignore all of my request and complaints. They had no rest for me at all!!! The nurse spoke to me as if I was an airhead or a liar. The MA lost my urine which made me have to go out my way to a labcorp just to give another urine sample. Then put me right back with the person I complained about!!!!!!

I once waited for an hour just for a vaccination appointment with a medical assistant. I had an IUD appointment scheduled, they called 90 minutes before the appointment and cancelled it, just rescheduled it without asking if the new date/time was acceptable or fit my schedule. It wasn’t. They then told me I’d have to wait another 4-6 weeks for a new appointment. They called after 9 am t... read more

I had an amazing experience. We moved from NY when I was 20 weeks pregnant and the team made sure to thoroughly review my charts and fully understand my situation. They were kind, and took their time to chat with me at each appointment. We received much better care than we were getting in NYC. So happy we made the switch and I gave birth at Penn!
