I have been trying to get treatment at Pennfoundation off and on since 1999 when i was 17/18 years old. Im 36 now and I have to say that I am very dissapointed in this place for neglecting to treat me properly. I just got done studying their website and all the programs they have, they have never referred me to any of them except the basic therapist biweekly and psychiatrist for 2 min a month. Confusing services...to Help or Not! A 13 yr. old girl is reaching out for help and needs to desperately talk to someone... So badly she makes a appointment secretly herself at the Penn Foundation. When she arrived the girl is questioned as to where is her parent or guardian. If this is one of the rules the Penn Foundation needs to abide by, needing a parent or guardian it needs to be changed. Everyone should be able to reach out for help. What if this girl committed suicide because she could not talk to someone!!
Penn is an amazing place and the people who work here are what makes a difference in my life. Amazing staff in every building. I feel loved here and cared about!
