I've taken my animals here for 15 years and have always been treated great till yesterday. I called to get an appointment for my dog since she has an ear infection, told that to whoever answered the phone then there was a huge pause to the point I thought she had hung up on me. She asked if my dog had been seen before then says the clinic was closing early because there is a tiny bit of snow on the ground and I was to call in the am to see if by chance there was an opening. Penn Cove was amazing. After taking my kitty to the emergency vet 2 days before, they were able to squeeze my cat, who they had never seen before in. Unfortunately, my cat was in really bad shape and Dr. Lark was extremely honest in his professional opinion and when I made the decision to put Scamp down, he and his staff were extremely respectful and let me hold him until I couldn’t anymore. If I was only reviewing Dr Schmid it would be 5 stars. It feels like the other doctors cared more about finding extras to charge for than the care of our animals.

Wonderful people and place. Very caring, knowledgeable, family. Clean, warm, inviting. We take all 6 of our 4-legged kids there.

Can't say enough wonderful things about Penn Cove Veterinary Clinic! The entire staff is courteous and professional, and the prices are very reasonable. Most importantly, the care they provide is top notch!! Mandy and Dr. Schmid are an incredible team that we feel blessed to have caring for our animals.
