More like a used-car lot I was bombarded with an infomercial for the most expensive methods before my initial exam began, and then WOW guess what I needed? The most expensive crowns you can find. When I asked about porcelain, they said I'd have a visible metal ring - THIS WAS FOR MY BACK MOLARS!!! Who the heck would see a metal ring at the bottom of my back molars? They quoted me a price of over $4000 for stuff that are no cost procedures under my insurance. I never went back - they are con artists and thieves.
Pushers Every time I go in there, they recommend something that is at least a thousand dollars and refuse to consider anything less. I don't know whether the dentist is trustworthy or not, but she seems to think that the most expensive option is always the best.
customer The dentist is very young and probably inexperienced. She gave me a shot of lidocaine which was unusually painful and when I complained she tried it a 2nd time. What I wound up with was a severe infection of my left cheek which swelled up like a balloon and I had to go to the ER to get treatment and miss work. Even though she called several times to check on me, her recommendation went against 2 other dentists. her comment about the painful shots was "I've never seen that". They will scam you This is my first review ever but I'm compelled to write it because I want to make sure others don't run into the same issues as me. I've been going to this dentist for a couple of years but things have become intolerable recently. You will never be given a straight answer on how much a treatment will cost and what the office will actually bill your insurance company. The best dentist ever!!! I found Dr. Fabiola Liendo, PAIN FREE and ANXIETY FREE!! I will be a patient for years to come. She was very nice and answered all of my questions and even took a second look to determine the answer to one of my questions. She recommended a toothpaste to help with my sensitive tooth and the hygienist even gave me a couple samples. It was overall a very pleasant experience and I plan to return.
OVERCHARGES YOU WHEN YOU HAVE INSURANCE In June of 2009 I made an appointment to have a cavity filled. At the time I had two Dental Insurances: Delta Dental and Aetna. Services were provided by a pregnant Dr. Nadia and Dr, Darren Smolken. I loved the office, the location and the high tech equipment and was very satisfied with the work as Dr. Nadia and Dr. Smolken were both competent dentists. Watch out! Peninsula Dental Arts Nice people, nice equipment, but they overcharge, sneak in services while you are in the chair, and make mistakes. Only go here if all you need is a cleaning.
shame on you This company engages in fraud or bait and switch as a rule. First, the staff never returns phone call, ever. I left a total of 14 messages, none of which were returned. They contract with the insurance company (Safeguard) to service us as per their contract, and refuse to work on your teeth unless you agree to their demand for more money for the far more expensive teeth/crowns they want to sell you. Re pushers These guys will scam you. I never could get a written statement of cost. The quote they gave me was wrong I told the girl and she said she would call my insurance. She came back and said that I was right. When I asked for a new statment of costs she said her computor would not let her,wrong software. I was already in the chair because my tooth was broken and in pain. When I got my bill I was charged a price which was more than if I went out of network. They lied to my insurance and said I was told that I was being... read more
