There are a lot of negative comments made about Pembroke Regional Hospital but, allow me to shed light where it need be shed on a high intensity situation we found ourselves in on Monday, April 27, 2026. Our 16 month old little boy became very ill, very quickly with no signs or symptoms prior. In a 2 hour window of time his temperature rose over 40° and he experienced a seizure. i was born here and im pretty decent they didnt drop me & i have all my fingers and toes soooo 🤷‍♀️

I was planning a homebirth, but I decided I wanted to transfer to hospital. I was treated with kindness and respect and felt welcomed and safe (which was not my previous experience in hospitals). The staff was great, they listened to me and allowed me to birth the way I wanted. Dr. Nimbe was kind and although I disagreed with him a few times, he ended up really helping me out In the end and I think he did a great job!!
