Peebles Bar-B-Que was started in 1947 by Elle and Gladys Peebles. Mr. Peebles drove a school bus and started his small business on the side. The small side job turned into a major landmark in no time. He was soon joined by his two sons to help run the restaurant that had grown incredibly. Later after Mr. Peebles had left the business to his two sons, Dale Strickland married Mr. Peebles youngest daughter Marsha Peebles. Hands down best BBQ I’ve had here in Florida. Great Mac n cheese!! Awesome atmosphere - friendly servers. If you’re looking for fancier digs, go to a chain restaurant. Food won’t be as good as Peebles, but hey - you’ll get cloth napkins. 😂😂

Homey, friendly atmosphere. Great food, best sauce around. My parents owned a B-B-Q restaurant, but I preferred Peebles,.... been going there since early 1950s.
Straight garbage BBQ. Can't understand why people pay for that.
I’ve been eating Peebles since moving here in 1976 and tonight was my last time. ☹️ The food started tasting different over the last couple years but was edible until tonight. The pork sandwich tasted like it was a week old (very dry and over-salted). The rest of the family had rib plates...beans, slaw, potato salad. Ribs ok as well as beans, but potatoes were under cooked and coleslaw was nasty. We usually get it once a week but we will be keeping our $50-$60 from now on.

EVER THING!!!!!! I have been eating Peebles since I was just a small girl and my Father would come ever Saturday after he got off work and pick up supper fer us, and thisi was a weekly thing. It was great then and it is still great now, if not better and we have carried this tradition on, except we do Thursday, Friday or Saturday. We love the Bar-be-que
