I live in Michigan and I’ve been coming to Lakeland since 1984-1985 I was introduced to Peebles back then with my father in law Jim Hendrick and “Uncle Bernie”.... Bernie Little and I have my own family now who I’ve indoctrinated in the Peebles BBQ experience... My wife and kids love it as much as I do. We love the low key, sit down and let’s have a picnic type of atmosphere with the smell of that fresh BBQ going on the pits I’ve been to Memphis and Kansas City and their BBQ doesn’t come close to this place! Had the beef sandwich and Mac & cheese. It was delicious. I would never have gone in this place because it looks kinda run down, but several people told me the bbq was awesome and they weren’t lying.
We were in the area yesterday and on my sons recommendation, we stopped for lunch. AMAZING!!! Real food , really nice people ! Hopefully will Get back again next time we are in the area
