doctor Kamel performs surgery with a very old technique, he does not even use dissolvable stitches and claimed that if I use it, there will be a scar!! The best doctors all over the world do not even bother with removing stitches anymore. Zero star!!! I called them to set up my daughter's endocrinologist appt BUT the agent never answered the requested price before set up the visit. I went for this office visit, no procedure at all, and then 2 months later I got a letter from Pediatrix Medical Group which charged me $1,139.00 for a regular visit!!! This is a rip off! I paid the same amount for a specialist in ER a year ago. How this is possible??? They don't say the up front cost because they overcharge it. I’ve been double billed, months apart, for two separate incidents. Word to the wise: save your confirmation numbers and bank statements! This company will charge you months later without any notice until it’s gone to collections for bills you already paid originally in a timely fashion. I am utterly disappointed.

It went well with the doctor as he has no fault in this. They never told us the cost up front and we had been there before as a cash patient for the same procedure and the second (and definitely the last) time we paid $271 and thought that was it. The billing department hit us with later on with a $849.25 that was owed. Long story short it was absolutely ridiculous and way over the fee schedule for this procedure. If I could give negative stars I would! They lose accounts constantly, their employees are rude and incompetent. Every time I ask to talk to a manager or supervisor they are never there or never return phone calls. They have transferred me to other departments then hang up the phone on me. I have been trying to resolve a $100000 bill for months and they will not work with me. It is to the point of me getting a lawyer and suing. Horrible service. The doctor is amazing but the billing is the worst. I've had 2 high risk pregnancies in 2 years so I have to get checked frequently. I signed up for the payment plan and every month I have to call because they send me a past due notice. During my last call, the lady saw where I made a payment on 4/5/21; however, because my due date was 4/7/21, they expected another payment. Also, I believe this is the only medical service to charge interest when placed on a payment plan! It's sad!!

We had our baby at Northeast Baptist. And pediatrix reps did couple of visits while our baby was in NICU. They were nice people. But majority of information they put on their files were from our responses. And when it came to billing I received $1,900 for two visits and two insurance policies I had did not cover pediatrix. How come a hospital accepts a medical insurance but their contractor doesn't? And they had the nerve to schedule two visit after we brought out baby home. I didn't show up to neither, why??? My girl was in NICU for two weeks and though the insurance paid majority of the bill, I was responsible for my deductible, I agreed to a payment plan and they said there will be no fees,which was a LIE-They are charging $5 for every payment I make -the greed in this is beyond belief! padding their books is all that matters to them, yet they are losing nothing. Uttely heartless-now $5 may not be much but the principle behind it- PURE GREED. Which parent want their kid born prematurely!!!!

I was on hold with the Billing department for 57 minutes. The Agent did not seem at all surprised at this wait time.
