Overall, the office is clean and the staff is friendly, but I find their policy toward Medi-Cal patients extremely disappointing and discriminatory. While they'll provide most of your services on site, if you have Medi-Cal, they require you to go to the Howe Avenue office in Sacramento for your child's vaccinations. Yes, doctors can choose which insurances they accept, but forcing Medi-Cal families to travel elsewhere for basic care, while others receive it on the spot, feels like second class treatment. Dr. Maria Raslear rejected to visit our 18-month old baby, because we arrived 14 minutes late—still within their own 15-minute grace period. The receptionist claimed the doctor wouldn’t take us. Later, the doctor admitted she would have, but the receptionist didn’t accept us! Really? This is a pediatric office, not an assembly line. Worst experience after being a patient there for 8 years. My child was compared to buying a car, literally the words out of the doctors mouth “would you ask a dealership to sign a waiver after you purchased a car” My son has autism, it was her response to my fear of him being injected with yet another vaccine and that was her response to my request for her to sign a liability waiver stating she can assure me it would “do no harm.” We are no longer allowed to be their patients because I wanted to wait for more Information.
