I don’t usually write reviews like this, but after everything our family went through, I feel like I have to share. We had a really scary experience with our daughter’s care. Her bloodwork came back abnormal, and it was brushed off as a “bad draw” for nearly a week. During that time, I called every day asking for it to be repeated because I knew something wasn’t right. I LIKE THIS PLACE.
Dr. Zavoian was great. He spent time actually explaining things and thoroughly examining my son to get answers as to his GI issues. He made sure I understood everything before I left the appointment and personally called me the same day with X-ray results and his nurse called same day with blood results. I am thankful to have a doctor that won’t stop at anything to help my child.
Is it standard procedure to ignore blood test results FOR A WEEK and assume they are a “bad blood draw?” Even though I called Dr. Zavoian’s office daily to ask for another blood test to confirm?! Our experience was that two different doctors within your hospital system made this assumption and our baby got worse, and it cost us a hospital stay and an emergency transfer to another hospital.
