Dr. Zavoian was great. He spent time actually explaining things and thoroughly examining my son to get answers as to his GI issues. He made sure I understood everything before I left the appointment and personally called me the same day with X-ray results and his nurse called same day with blood results. I am thankful to have a doctor that won’t stop at anything to help my child.
Is it standard procedure to ignore blood test results FOR A WEEK and assume they are a “bad blood draw?” Even though I called Dr. Zavoian’s office daily to ask for another blood test to confirm?! Our experience was that two different doctors within your hospital system made this assumption and our baby got worse, and it cost us a hospital stay and an emergency transfer to another hospital. Dr. Tibesar is a life saver. Literally. I hate to think of what would have happened to my son if it wasnt for his excellent care and extra effort. We were at our whits end in getting answers that he and his team of physicians fot us in less than two weeks. We waited over 8 months for Riley to only come up with "Magic" and "you just wouldnt understand" as answers.
