The experience that I got from the office staff was horrible. I don’t have insurance for my infant and I stated I was going to pay out-of-pocket. The lady who attended the phone gave me the appointment and I was set to take my daughter. Two days prior to the appointment I called to confirm the time and day and she told me in a rude voice tone that I didn’t have any appointment, that she cancelled it because I had public insurance. Dr Fishman is amazing and really came through for my daughter who had a bad eye infection on top of an ocular burn. After being denied treatment by 2 Chicago ER’s over a 7 hour time stretch, Dr Fishman stayed late to fit my daughter in. She saw her another 2 times post the first visit and was emphatic, caring, and knowledgeable—making both my daughter and I at ease during a very stressful event. I would recommend her to anyone in the area needing excellent care for their child!
Dr. Fishman and staff are AMAZING! They are skilled medical professionals who are kind, patient, and empathetic. My 2.5 y/o son was seen as a new patient, and was very nervous. He was screaming and crying. As soon as Dr. Fishman came in, she calmed him down with her words and her demeanor. She is truly a magician - she played “fun and silly games”, which were really just tricks to distract him while she checked out his eyes. He had a BLAST. I don't write reviews. Even when I get bad service. My experience with this office and Dr. Fishman recently has been absurd. So here I am writing a review that doesn't deserve any stars. I have been taking my eldest daughter to this office since she was 5 years old. We have been seeing Dr. Fishman. My daughter is now 10 years old. She has never had any eye issues until recently she complained of eye irritation. I was given an appointment 3 months out from the date I called.
