Recently moved here - we are a homeschool family of 4 with a hospital/medical background and I've been impressed so far. 2 of my kids see Dr Natasha, and the other 2 see Dr. Kevin - all under the age of 14. Scheduling check ups has been a breeze. Staff are responsive to text messages. Great experience with a walk-in appointment for my son with a suspicious rash. Dr Summers has been our pediatrician since we moved back 2 years ago to the area and I couldn’t be happier. They are responsive to calls, have a qhick check-in process and I’ve never waited more than ten min to see the doctor. I love it here!
Our child’s care was terminated due to us having a disagreement with the front desk women. They yelled at us both very loudly and during the incident. We have had multiple incidents with the older women whom has called me a (boy) and multiple other derogatory names. We have seen her gag a people of color who attended the same office as well as canceling appointments. Please be mindful if your child has a disability or of color. The doctors are ok. The front desk women are a MAJOR problem.
We love the doctors but the front desk staff leaves much to be desired. They are very unengaged sometimes to the point of being rude. The phones are also often giving a busy signal and the only other way to contact the office is via text that doesn’t open until 9 which is not acceptable for a pediatric office.
I had the worst interaction with a pediatrician dr Kevin burgert. He minimized or dismissed my concerns about care for my son. Insulted me, cursed at me, and was all around unprofessional just because I had a different opinion on the direction of care for my son. He expressed a willingness to violate ks state law. Stay away from this dr. His behavior is a disgrace to medical professionals.
