The psychiatrist was very hard to talk to. Didn't care about me at all. Tried to take past diagnosis off of me. He's wrong. No help offered. Unprofessional. Do not use
If you value your mental health and wellbeing do everything in your power to avoid seeing Dr. Akande. I needed a prescription refilled and she denied me and couldn't get me in until May. If I could rate any lower I would.
Edited to include an extra doctor and to blast the front end staff again. 🤦♀️ I REALLY like the doctors here! Dr. Akande, Dr. Ilepe, and Dr. Oluwaseun Iretor-Oscar are amazing! They are incredibly supportive and helpful. First review of front desk staff: I really dislike the front desk staff who can't seem to figure out what's going on half the time. I can’t say enough good things about Pearl Specialist Clinic. They’ve supported me through my mental health journey with so much care, understanding, and professionalism. Every step of the way, I’ve felt heard, respected, and genuinely supported. The team goes above and beyond to make sure you feel safe and understood. I’ve received nothing but compassion and encouragement from everyone here. I’m so grateful for their help and highly recommend them to anyone looking for real, meaningful support.
Front staff are approachable, respectable and efficient. I liked their open communication about wait times. They were helpful with prescription refills. The physician I saw was compassionate and knowledgeable. He was empathetic and supportive with changing/withdrawing from medications. I highly recommend this clinic.
