Ancient This chinese place has been around for years. They have the best local chinese food you can pick up within walking distance and fast service too. Oh and its cool now that they have a bar menu.
Chinese food in South San Jose Pearl River is a longtime Chinese food restaurant located in South San Jose. They food is good although it's more americanized chinese food. Egg Rolls are huge, the majority of the dishes are pork and chicken and they have a small lunge connected to the back of the restaurant. Service is spotty, some days we have great service, other times it feels like they are rushing to get people out of the restaurant.
Worth trying My family has been coming here for many years and in that time it has gone down hill some but is still good for a quick Chinese meal. The prices are a bit high for what your getting but overall it's a decent place for the whole family. It's a small restaurant but we've never had to wait to sit down, service was quick and friendly and the food didn't take long to come out either.
Fast friendly service-noodles soups are delicious. When I worked nearby, a group of us would have lunch at Pearl River once a week. My favorite is their vegetable noodle soup-veggies are fresh and not over-cooked. They changed their menu a bit and raised their prices, but which restaurant hasn't. Try it if you are in the neighborhood.
