“Dr.” Pearce should have his license revoked. As you may have seen from the massive number of 1 star reviews this doctor is terrible at his job. James Scott Pearce should not be allowed to practice after his incredible ineptitude in dealing with my family. Excuses after excuses, and not a single one remotely believable. His approach is to accept you as a patient, but ignore you and push you off to the ER. Save yourself the time and be sure to avoid this snake oil salesman at all costs.
The first problem with Dr. Pearce, or rather with his office staff, is that I waited well over an hour to be seen. During that time I watched the waiting room fill up and empty three times. Obviously they forgot about me. Next, he told me that the flu-like symptoms I had were a common cold. He made this assessment without even listening to my breathing, without looking in my ears or throat, and told me to take over the counter meds. He said it could not be the flu because I had already had a flu shot. He said all of this whi... read more
BEST DOCTOR! PERIOD!!!!!
Read the staff reviews and stay away! Doctor Pearce is a friend but because of his staff making me feel soo bad I will never want anyone to go there and feel belittled. Brianna, the one who answered the phone, has no patient curtiosy at all! accused me of threathing her? First of all I'm the patient! I tried to explain to her my situation and she didn't care at all and constantly put me on hold. My last visit there she was being rude as well. I feel embarrassed for even calling this time.
Very helpful and knowledgeable.
Dr. Pearce is very personable and remembers the individual patients history. You don’t have to wait long for him. His technical expertise is average. The biggest problem is his office staff. They are slow to send results to other doctors. In one case a specialist doctor canceled my wife appointment., so we needed to go to Dr. Pearce’s Office to get the test results so we could take them back to the specialists.
Dr Pearce is not the problem he is great guy. His office staff however is somewhat condescending. When your primary care physician is unavailable you expect a referral, what I recieved from the somewhat rude person was "you can go to the emergency room". This is an abuse on their part as it adds to already over crowded ER and sets me up for a $1000 bill to get treatment for bronchitis. This is acceptable
I went in March 29th because of significant pain in my arm (since late January) that had moved into my shoulder. I wanted to be referred to a specialist. Dr. Pearce told me it was a pulled muscle and recommended anti-inflamatories and rest for 8-12 weeks. Pain worsened and it took me until June 23rd to make arrangements to see another doctor who promptly referred me to an orthopedic surgeon. MRI on July 9th confirmed a full tear rotator cuff! Surgery scheduled for September 16th.
The stars are only for Dr Pearce; although he's a little more old school he's very personable and willing to answer your questions. However, the front staff is horribly rude and unprofessional. Not only did I have to wait over half an hour for a simple PPD/TB placement (procedure only took 2 minutes), but they were very rude considering my time was being wasted and made all sorts of excuses. Only other positive thing: their awesome phlebotomist.
