Have been renting from Carol & Jim since October 2024. A rare landlord success story. I put in a work order on a Sunday evening, a guy turns up on Monday morning to take care of it. Every time, any issues are seen to promptly and without need for a follow up. They are always fast to respond. Clearly they know that spending a little extra to keep tenants happy in the short term will pay off in the long run. Hope to be a tenant for a long time, very happy here!
Was a tenant at 2 peak managed properties - no issues. Carol and Jim are prompt with service requests and clear with communication.
Look. Regarding the negative reviews of working with Jim, you can see they are personality mismatches. Jim is fast, no nonsense, and experienced. I found him early in my SF apartment search and didn't appreciate how straightforward he was. Huge mistake. Fast forward 4 months and l've dealt with some of THE worst rental/property management companies in SF. Unethical, poor communication, commission fees as if we're in NY??, you name it. Greedy San Francisco landlord family. Doing bare minimum to the buildings & cheating tenants on price.
Our building is a wonderful place to live. Very well maintained with managers on site. Peak is quick to repair anything. Very easy and kind to deal with. Paying rent online is another easy bonus!
