Neat place! Definitely one of those things you need to experience for yourself. Make sure you plan plenty of time to browse and then time for your fitting. We were there for 3 hours. Well worth the time!
I have NEVER been treated this terribly by service staff. While the girl who dressed me was lovely, the owner was HEINOUS. In fact, she was so mean, she made me cry. If you need a prom dress, go to The Prom Shoppe in Oswego or Gipper’s in Crystal Lake. Spend your money with people who will treat you KINDLY and CARE about your experience; not an overrated, understaffed fresh Hell with an awful owner.
We ordered a dress. It came with a flaw in the fabric. We sent it back asking for a complete refund but they refused to give us the restocking fee back. We were told our flaw was “fuzz” and we just had to cut it off. I told them it was attached to the dress and that I wasn’t going to do that and risk creating a bigger problem with the fabric or creating a hole in the fabric if I cut it too close. The whole process makes you feel like you are being cattle hearded through their store. High pressure sales, and you aren’t allowed to take your time at all. You can only try on a few dresses...whichever ones you can cram into their 1 hour time frame. My daughter left in tears because she felt she was being pressured to buy a dress she didn’t love. We left and went to Hannah’s Boutique. Found the perfect dress, $100 less than peaches, and left Chicago happy. Don’t waste your time at Peaches. Bad business and pushy!!!!

So I purposely drove over an hour to this boutique because of the ‘many’ plus size designers that they have, well if they have them you wouldn’t know it, because there wasn’t a dress on the floor bigger than a size 16. Now they tell you, find 3 dresses and we will pull your size from the back, except most of the designers don’t go into the plus sizes.
